Luxury Cabin - Aurora
Wild Stays & Unique Escapes on Dartmoor
Luxury Dog Friendly Lodges & Hideaways on Dartmoor’s Edge
Welcome to Aurora — a luxury cabin in the woods, designed for those who crave stillness, style and space to simply be. Nestled on the western fringes of Dartmoor, within the peaceful 700-acre National Trust Buckland Abbey Estate, Aurora offers a secluded escape for romantic weekend getaways, off the grid holidays in the UK and slow, soulful stays.
This is not just glamping in a shepards hut — it’s a wild stay with the five-star comfort of a luxury cabin, panoramic views and a sense of quiet that lingers long after you leave.

Luxury cabin cradled in woodland stillness, where time unravels gently and every breath feels like a return to yourself.
A Cabin Stay Where Light Leads the Way
Aurora takes its name from the dawn. Positioned where the first rays of sunlight touch the hillside, this luxury cabin stay is surrounded by beech trees and rolling valley views. From your glass-ceilinged bed, you’ll see the sky shift from soft morning hues to star-filled nightscapes.
Inside, a palette of pale blues and warm golds reflects the light and openness of the landscape. Every detail — from the bespoke oak furniture to the handcrafted finishes — is chosen to create a space that feels both grounded and elevated.

Luxury Pet Friendly Lodges with Soul
Aurora is ideal for couples, but also welcomes one well-behaved dog of up to 10kg, making it one of Dartmoor’s most inviting luxury dog friendly lodges. Whether you’re walking woodland trails, exploring the Abbey gardens or simply curling up by the fire, your four-legged companion is part of the experience.
A Wild Stay, A Unique Escape
This is glamping Dartmoor reimagined. Aurora blends the charm of a shepherd hut with the elegance of a boutique lodge. Expect:
- A handcrafted oak suite with glass ceiling
- Panoramic views of Buckland Abbey, the Great Barn and Monastic Kitchen Gardens
- A private outdoor space for dining, stargazing and unwinding
- Thoughtful touches throughout, from soft linens to curated lighting

Holiday Lodges Luxury, Reimagined
Aurora is more than a place to stay — it’s a hideaway that invites you to pause, reflect and reconnect. Whether you’re seeking luxury cabin stays for a special occasion or simply want to escape the noise, this off-grid retreat offers comfort, beauty and deep seclusion.
