Starbeds is one of a bespoke collection of uniquely designed luxury self-catered escapes, inspired by our own love of immersive meaningful breaks whether solo travellers, couples or multigenerational celebrations, each property fuses idyllic settings with stylish well appointed interiors, hand picked luxuries and thoughtful attention to detail combining all of these elements to create a private oasis from the constraints and pressures of everyday life.

We would really like to tell you we were the most savey and astute of the 41 applicants who pitched for Cider House….. we weren’t! We just knew it was meant to be ours!
We had never redecorated a room let alone renovated an entire house!

An 18 month project that through necessity took 8, a baby who arrived 3 days after the builders, 5 bathrooms installed and not one wall, floor or ceiling left unloved.
Initially a phenomenal award winning B&B now an idyllic spacious self catered retreat.
Simply perfect for special celebrations, multigenerational family stays, on the fringes of Dartmoor and close to the coast, steeped in history with award winning gardens – we look forward to welcoming you.
