Luxury Off-Grid Cabin Holidays in Devon – Secluded Hideaways for Nature, Wellness & Reconnection

Arrival is Part of the Experience

Your adventure begins with a short walk – parking is located around 10 minutes from the Hideaways, and from there, you can choose how you arrive:

  • Supacat Transfer: Our bookable 6-wheeled ex-army Supacat vehicle can transport you and your luggage to your Hideaway between 2:30–4pm on check-in day, and back again on departure.
  • Self Check-In: Prefer to arrive at your own pace? We’ll share precise what3words locations for both parking and your Hideaway, and you’re welcome to walk up at your leisure.
  • Late Arrival Luggage Transfer: Arriving outside the Supacat window? We can still transfer your luggage while you enjoy the walk.

This gentle transition from car to cabin is part of what makes a Starbed Hideaway holiday so special – a chance to slow down and immerse yourself in the landscape from the moment you arrive.

Off-Grid Luxury, Reimagined

Each Hideaway runs on 12v electric, meaning no hairdryers or high-voltage appliances – but plenty of soft lighting, USB charging, and a chance to truly unplug. While you’re off-grid electrically, you’re not roughing it:

  • Hot water and heating (in addition to your woodburner)
  • Flushing loo and roll-top bath
  • Fully plumbed-in comfort, surrounded by nature

This is off-grid accommodation in Devon with a difference – where sustainability meets style, and simplicity meets soul.

Seclusion, Space and Soulful Views

The Hideaways are spaced around 350 metres apart, each perched high on the hillside with panoramic views over the Abbey, gardens, river valley and out to sea. You’ll feel completely tucked away, yet still part of something timeless and beautiful.

This is not a glamping site. It’s a secluded cabin holiday designed for privacy, peace and presence – ideal for couples, solo travellers or anyone craving a deeper connection to nature.
