Guest Registration

We are required by law to collect the following information on all our guests. We do this by asking you to complete a registration form during your stay at Starbed Hideaways.

We may collect, Name, Nationality, Passport Number or National Identity Number, Next Destination for overseas visitors. These details are required for access by the Police, should they ask to see them.

Cookies are text files placed on your computer to collect standard internet log information and visitor behaviour.  This information is used to track visitor use of our website and to compile statistical reports on website activity.

What information we collect about you

When you book with Starbed Hideaways we collect your name, email address and telephone number. We also collect payment card details to secure your booking. Your card is pre-authorised in accordance with the terms and conditions and cancellation policy.

How we use the information we hold on you

We will use your email address to send confirmation of your booking and pre-authorisation of payment card.

After your stay, we will email you a receipt of the invoice and ask you to share your Starbed Hideaways experience with potential future guests by providing a review via our website or other well-known review sites.

We will use your telephone number only if we need to check something about your booking, or in an emergency where we have not been able to contact you via email.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Marketing

We would like to keep in touch with you to send information about Starbed Hideaways, any special offers we have or local events going on. Occasional emails/newlsetters will be sent to those people on our distribution list.  Our distribution list is managed by a secure third party, Mail Chimp.

You may change your preferences or unsubscribe via Mailchimp at any time.

Neither Starbed Hideaways, or Mailchimp will pass your details onto any third party.

Who we share your data with

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

How long we retain your data

For users that register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you provided. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
